Beliefs

Global Cycle Club/C-Mental Health holds to core beliefs common to the Christian faith across the world: No rider or supporter is asked to belief the same as we do, but in fairness and in full disclosure, we are sharing the following:

We believe…

  • that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative source of Christian doctrine and precept.
  • that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • that man was created in the image of God but, as a result of sin, is lost and powerless to save him-/herself.
  • that the only hope for people is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and who rose from the dead so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood.
  • that Jesus Christ will personally return to earth in power and glory.
  • that the Holy Spirit indwells those who receive Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and holy lives.
  • that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who through belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the Church is worldwide evangelism and the nurturing and discipling of Christians.

From these beliefs we derive that all people have value and dignity in God’s eyes. We ask all our riders and supporters to exhibit this inherent dignity and treat others with respect and love. Love and dignity that does mean everyone must agree on everything. We are not a political organization; therefore, we do not promote political views of one kind. We do promote values that align with our purpose: to enhance mental health locally and globally and to promote healthy faith.

From these beliefs we infer that God wants us to move our bodies, take care of our mental health, and respectfully treat His creation. While we do not promote an activist agenda, we do believe that people and nature are part of God’s creation and must be cared for.
